The person behind the journey
Founder Forrest James Detwiler’s love of animals began early and grew through a life of travel. His journeys have taken him across more than 50 countries on five continents, including 12 countries across Africa. Over time, that passion for exploration became a clear purpose: to help travellers experience Africa’s wildlife and cultures while recognising the importance of protecting its wild places.
With combined experience across hospitality and safari travel, and years spent living, working and travelling throughout Africa, Forrest brings a personal understanding of the region and a commitment to service that meets international expectations. His approach is grounded in thoughtful planning, honest guidance and the belief that the details matter — because your time away matters.
